November is not the best time of year in England. Who would believe that we had
swapped our Florida time share for a week in Bowness, and agreed to take
Barbara's 88 year old mother with us. It was her birthday that week and
we had a day-trip planned to visit Alex, Sue and Josh in Richmond.

Most of the week was like this or worse. Here are the moorings at Bowness out of season

On the last day the sun came out and made up for the rain and gloom. A drive started with a misty view of Grasmere after a nice lunch in a hotel by the lake
